I’m a big believer in family dinners, but with four kids – especially since our baby, Dusty, arrived – finding time to cook every night can be a challenge. I like to batch cook family favourites like chilli, Bolognese, and veggie curries. It’s a game-changer for busy week nights.

To kick off the new school term in style, I’ve partnered with Asda to create some banging recipes for School Night Winner Dinners. This epic new series ticks all the boxes, offering midweek meals that are tasty, affordable, and perfect for kids.

From all-in-one fishcake pie to comforting sausage stew, our recipe collection focuses on quick and healthy family food to keep you covered on busy weeknights. My kids can’t get enough of the chicken fajita pitta pockets, and I'm a huge fan of doubling up on the mozzarella and broccoli pasta bake for easy leftovers ready for another day.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a perfectionist. These back-to-school recipes are great for involving kids in the kitchen too. My 6-year-old, Indie, is already a little chef-in-the-making just by being there with me and learning as we cook.
