Looking ahead to 2025

As 2024 draws to a close, I want to look forward to 2025. A year for new opportunities, new challenges and another chance for you to set new goals and work hard to achieve them. I say work hard because it is really is hard work.

Finding time for yourself consistently is never easy, but it’s so important to prioritise YOU this year. Your mental and physical health needs love and attention and when you find the time for yourself, your whole world can start to feel different.

Movement is the medicine we all need, so let’s keep at it together.

Let’s talk about food quickly, too. I don’t know about you but this past year has left me feeling confused at times. The term UPF (Ultra Processed Food) became the new buzzword around diet. It can make you question what is actually healthy for us anymore. The conclusion I’ve come to after reading several books on the topic really goes back to my original message from 2015 where I first said the words “and that right there is Lean in 15”.

The only way to navigate the crazy fast food environment we live in is to cook more at home using whole ingredients. Healthy food is life-changing and it doesn’t have to take ages to make. It can be done quickly and simply with a little bit of effort.

When you cook more at home, you take control. You take control of your mood, your energy, your health and your body fat levels.

So in 2025, turn your attention to the kitchen. Learn a new recipe once a week, meal prep your lunch for work. Batch cook your favourite dinner and give yourself a chance to transform your mind and body. Remember, you can’t out train a poor diet.

Consistency is important for success in anything, but don’t think 365 days ahead. That can feel overwhelming. Just focus on today. Can you make some better food choices today?

I’ve got a very simple mantra I try to say to bring myself back into a positive place with my diet. “Today I am going to eat healthy portions of healthy food”. This has really helped me.

I wish you a wonderful new year of health and happiness. Thanks for being here with me on your journey.

Lots of love, Joe x
